Trains collide in Lagos

trains had a head-on collision in Lagos on Wednesday. Many passengers escaped death but four people were injured. According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred due to the lack of a signal operator at  the Mushin terminal in Lagos.
The signal operator had gone to defecate and had asked his assistant to fill his space but his assistant forgot and this led to the collision. The train going to Iddo was hit by the train coming from the Iddo.
People living in the area said they thought it was a bomb blast.
The management of the National Railway Cooperation has confirmed the accident. Mr David Ndakotsu in a statement said no one died in the accident.
The three out of the four injured persons have been treated and discharged from the hospital.  Services are now back to normal.
