Styl-Plus:Tunde leaves group, now known as NativeBoy

Tunde Akinsanmi of Styl-Plus has decided to leave the group which comprised of Tunde, Shiffi and Zeal and go solo. Hence forth, he would be known as NativeBoy.
It will be recalled that the group Styl-Plus (originally STYL) is a gospel and pop musical group / quartet. The founding members were Shifi Emoefe, Tunde Akinsanmi, Yemi Akinwonmi, and Lanre Faneyi and the name STYL was adopted by combining the first letters of the first names of the founding members.
In 1999 Lanre Faneyi died, and Zeal Onyecheme joined the group. The name of the quartet turned to Styl-Plus, the Plus being used to indicate the new addition to the group. In 2002 Yemi Akinwonmi left the group and the musical band became a trio without adding a new member. Starting 2003, the group had its own record label STYL-PLUS.
However, Tunde’s new company, BAT Records Nigeria LTD is a parent company to BAT Records Studios and BAT Clothing Company.
BAT is an acronym derived from BEATZ AND TECHNIQUES.
Since the group went their separate ways, Akinsanmi changed his stage name to NativeBoy but hopes that he will always be a member of the group that sang Olufunmi and they plan to stage a comeback.
He is presently working on his Production album which promises to feature both established and non-established artists to further break new grounds in the music microcosm.
NativeBoy In Your Eyes (I.Y.E) is Akinsanmi’s debut single which is rapidly becoming a sensational electronica/pop track worldwide.
NativeBoy In Your Eyes is now ranked #1 on Reverbnation for Electronica/R&B/Pop in Nigeria.
